"Everything was Excellent"

Having just returned from a short break here we can`t wait to go back. The rooms were a good size and you even had 2 comfortable chairs. The restaurant food was of very high quality beautifully cooked steak just how I like it. The grounds were very nice to walk round but didn`t see the ghost. Leisure centre was well kept and clean. Very convenient for buses to Chesterfield if you didn`t want to take the car. All the staff made us very welcome and couldn`t do enough to make our stay a pleasant one, the bar prices weren`t to bad for a hotel bar. The tv in the room was better than the one we have at home. You stayed in rooms in this old building not in purpose built rooms in the grounds which we prefer. A tip for the hotel would be to do a 2 or 3 course set menu in the restaurant if you are a guest in the hotel. All in all a very nice hotel.

Stayed November 2014. Trip Advisor Review.
